Invalidation.
Some of you may be familiar with this concept. If it is taken seriously, and indeed true, then in my opinion this is one of the things everyone can learn to recognise in their daily life and work against to promote flourishing. The more understanding of invalidation we have as a people, the more equiped we are to avoid perpetuating it. I encourage everyone to investigate this concept with open minded skepticism and decide for themselves its validity.

Comforting. Unless of course i don't believe or agree with them. However, irrespective of that, when someone says "your safe" (which can be said without words), and you see the intention behind it, then that itself can sometimes be comforting. If i see something genuine in the persons face when they say something like that, it can seem rather bittersweet if i don't believe the statement, because i can see where they are coming from, and the care behind the words. Sometimes that's more important to me than the actual truth, becuase your still afraid, but you know someone cares, and that lessens the blow.

Probably when accused of anything that might be true, that i don't want to be true. (especially if it's about myself or loved ones, or groups i identify with) I'm not a big fan of hearing negitive things about my loved ones, so i try to defend them first before these views become accepted.

Making other people laugh. Just playing on the playground with old friends. Also, holding the hand of my dear friend Carla, who ment alot to me when i was little. It's funny, now i see some of them and we're all grown up and estranged. We all had fun back in those days. Oh yea, whenever my father came home from work i used to hug him and latch on to his leg, and he would always race us up the stairs to our room. Also, having long converstations with my little brother, and reading garfield comics until late at night.
There are alot of things i could probably list, but those stick out in my mind for some reason.
What did you learn about yourself yesterday?

Being asked a question every day helps. So does trusting you'll be respected for giving your thoughts, even if others dissagree (or even when your just wrong). In parts of the internet, people can be more nasty, because they can get away with it by staying ambiguous and removed. Here people here seem respectfull, even though they can afford not to be. That's pretty cool.
